hmm, the crosley sheet metal engines? only the very early crosley engines
were the composite "sheet metal" construction . the more common blocks were
cast iorn. the hot lick is to find the military versions wich ran
generators ! the mil-spec version had a forged crank in them! true joy is
doing a valve job on one as the head is integral component of the block.
also prone to leakage of coolant on the side cover plates for the block.
the hot distributor is the ford "tractor" dist as it has a good curve to it
too! and another neat trick is to fabricate a set of headers and put a
spridget twin su carb se up on one also! that little 750cc engine was one
of the more popular engines for years in the scca's h-modified class (along
with dyna panhard, triumph motorcycle, bmw motorcycle, fiat and saab) untill
these high revving rice (motorcycle) engines came along in the early 70's.

chuck.
ahhhh....the bad old days......*sigh*.....c. :)
