Could it be from a Morris Minor or
from an Austin A35?

I have an engine that looks like an A-Series but varies from a 948cc
Sprite engine in that it has a smaller crank - journals are smaller,
throw's different - and the oil filter may just be an "add-on". "RU 101
16952" is stamped in the block. I'm not sure what it's from originally
(although it was in a Bugeye at one point). Any suggestions?
