Bill -

I have seen race Spridgets with one-piece front ends; they often are
mounted tilt-front, sometimes just lift-off. Mini Mania among others,
carries them and the fittings.

I changed my '67 "bonnet" to a front-hinged arrangement. It provides much
more convenient access AND never comes unlatched on fast bumpy roads (anymore).

On the road again!
