Yes, The Bogen 3D head is just an adjustable head that fits on top of any
Bogen (and many other brand) tripod. It has a 3/8" threaded hole. There are
a variety of clamps that will work with it, including a vacuum clamp for a
window. You can even make a decent clamp with some hose clamps and a chunk
of wood. We tight!
Look at ball heads as well, not just the Bogen brand. Gitzo is very good.
Almost all of them have the 3/8" thread.
