And for my comment, the typical "customer service" reply is usually.....

But not always, in my last phone conversation with Moss Motors, a young
lady named Jennifer was actually laughing at me on the phone.
And yes, that was back in 1989.
I did meet the CEO of Moss Motors at a meet in 1992, he approached me
and started a casual conversation. He quicky asked me where I get my
parts and (not knowing who he was) I told him anywhere BUT Moss.
He (Goldberg) asked why? So I told him. He gave me his word that he
would personally look into it. Well 13 years and still waiting.

So now I am a "profiler". I simply stated that I, me, JUST ME was mo$$
free.
And that being moss free included any of the moss resellers.
Oh I still have to deal with moss parts as they trickle through the
usual channels in some cases, but for the most part, I do NOT, have NOT,
(since 89) nor will I EVER deal with Moss Motors or anybody who trades
under a different name selling their *stuff*.
And it's NOT the money issue. I rarely ask for prices on parts unless I
don't have a clue or unless it's a high ticket item.
Sure "We Tight", cheap is good, free is even better, but QUALITY is MY
number one issue.
Ok, maybe the chrome is supposed to peel off your year old bumper when
you wash your car, maybe the rubber is supposed to just go away in a
couple months, maybe "alter to fit" is the norm these days.
Maybe I should stop wondering why with modern technology, and better
materials, new parts don't last anywhere near as long as old parts lasted.

As for my comment obout things not changing, Obviously they have not.

And Oh Ed, I do have to admit you made my Sunday morning.
It's a lousy rainy day here but I am still ROTFLMAO after reading your
post. I mean, even Diane wanted to know why I have such a *moss part*
eatin grin on my face? :)
So take it easy, you get more POed than I do after I come home from work
after dealing with a customers Home Defect bought vanity and chinese faucet.
