Absolutely correct...I have to agree.

They can do anything we let them get
away with doing...Geeze, look at Vietnam!

Even MacNamara admits today, in his 
book of last year, that "they" had no idea
what the hell "they" were doing, though
at the time, "they" thought they did, being
academically educated beyond their
experience level. JFK knew better, but
coincident with his planned withdrawal
in December of the year of his coupe de'tat.

Hell...all you had to do was talk with the
guys who had been there and had gotten
back alive to know "they" hadn't the slightest clue as to how to win
that one!

Finally, "we" figured out there must be
something FUBAR that a nation that won
WW2 in less than 4 years (with the help of
our allies, obviously) couldn't win in Vietnam in God knows how many
years....
so we marched until "they" pulled us out of there.

Maybe that's why so many don't trust
our government today in terms of the
need for force in Iraq's case. Hard to blame them if this is in fact,
one of
their reasons.
