For what it's worth.....Dellortos were very popular with the street-racer VW
beetle folks. (I only know because of the slammed and filled '67 street
prowler I have 1/2 finished in my garage).  But Dells are no longer being
manufactured, which is why it's hard to get rebuild bits.  NOS, if you're
lucky.  In the "hot rod Beetle" culture, the small throat twin-choke Dells
were the hot ticket on the street and twin-choke Webers were favored for the
drag strip.  But because of the parts problem, you can't give away a set of
Dellortos now.  Years ago, I ran a Jensen Healey with Dellortos and it went
like stink with absolutely no quirks or fiddling after the initial set-up.
