Beaumont doesn't qualify for the far West exactly. Piney woods, coastal area
know for the multitude of oil and gas wells, chemical plants and refineries.
Way back in the dark ages when I was a truck driver we used to say Beaumont was
like a blind date. You never knew what it was going to smell like until you
got there...
Its not far from Cut and Shoot and Dimebox, TX.
