The "box" Sprite or Midget would be an excellent father/son project. Just be
careful not to get one that is TOO rusty, because that can be very
discouraging to a young person (not to mention us oldies). I would try to get
one as
rust free as possible and concentrate on the mechanics--overhauling an engine
is
fascinating to a teenager--sanding incessantly is not-- and the finish paint
job. You will see results a lot quicker and he will be even more proud of it
when he sees it developing quicker than it could with a lot of body panels to
replace or repair.
