gauges and bezels

I am looking to install an oil-water dual gauge in my '78 Midget.  It "appears" 
that the dual gauge was not an option for the RB Midgets (??).  Is there any 
reason why I could not remove the chrome bezel from a gauge taken from an 
earlier Midget and replace it with the mostly-black bezel currently on my 
water-temp only gauge?
