Hello,

     mine read full all the time too. .. if i change the wire
     connections on the gauge, it still reads full. on mine, i believe
     its because the ground to the sending unit (in/on?) the tank is
     broken or missing... i can see the lug with a little stub of wire
     right in front of the tank, but there's no wire goind TO it. ...
     i haven't wanted to pull the tank to find out... sure glad these
     cars have trip odometers! plus i carry a spare gallon in the
     trunk, which i replace once a year. ...
