To be honest I thought Lucas was made in China nowdays but maybe I got mixed 
up.  Hey Frank, do you think whoever makes it 'dung fires' their soldering 
irons??

I don't have any useful suggestions because as far as I know getting quality 
parts is nigh impossible these days and nothing much is made over here.
