Cap'n,
I drove that car quite far enough to know that I did NOT like it. It doesn't
take 150 miles when it is right. It is possible that a set of adjustable
Konis and a new set of wheels and tires would help immensely, but why start
from a MazdaSpeed at that point? Get a nice 94-97 1.8, toss a decent turbo
on it along with the afore-mentioned shocks and wheels and you have a
lighter, nimbler car with more hp for less $$$
