Also check the grounding wire inside the distributor. If it has a break
it in the car will idle fine, but as the engine accelerates and the
plate move, it will disconnect and break the circuit. The engine will
die until the rpms drop, then it will start running again until the rpms
increase.....

948 operating on points not electronic
Under load ...like 2nd 3rd and 4th..accelerating at about 3000-3200 rpm
loses power and exhaust sounds like sputtering. If I pull the choke it

no difference..so it makes me think electonics...plugs look fine...but

not been tuned in oh maybe 5K.
I have ordered all distributor tune-up stuff. Points plugs cap wires
condenser....U think I'm on the right track????
