This is an older Rivergate 5-speed with the Rivergate cable and
adapter.

Do any of y'all know whether the Rivergate speedometer
cable is supposed to pull out of the upper end of the
housing?? I just tried it and it won't move. I don't
want to break anything so I went kinda easy.
