I remember reading about the making of it... might have been in Popular
Science (a subscription I bought with my lawn mowing money)...

I also remember the Mad Magazine,(or maybe it was CARtoon?) spoof on it...

It is no loss if you do not have the VHS tape.  You only see about  
1/3 of what was on the screen in the theater.  If it gets to DVD  
hopefully they will not only get more of the image but also the  
surround sound.  Yes the original had surround sound as well as the  
huge screen, cinamascope (sp?).  It was absolutely great in the theater.

Yes I am really old.
