Yes, 10 years is about the max, for sure.  The factory used to recommend
seal replacement at 3 year intervals, as I recall.  If you've gotten 10
years of service, since the last rebuild, you've done well.

Thanks.  I neglected to nemtion that I went over the linkages, "safety" 
switch block, and all the easily accessed/simple stuff before I started 
bleeding.

I did a complete overhaul on this brake system about 10 years and around

60,000 miles ago, so I suspect that it's "due".  As an experiment, I
made 
the switch to silicone brake fluid back then, and it's done me fairly
well.  
However it's a PITA to bleed/flush, and hard to find sometimes, so I'll 
probably switch back to standard brake fluid, which means a complete
seal 
change-out anyway.

I'll keep y'all posted on developments...
