I am very puzzled by the no fluid at the rear driver's side cylinder.
That
could be caused by the "H" shaped valve shutting off the rear system,
though, correct?

The PWDA (Pressure Differential Warning Actuator) is merely a device to
warn the driver that one of the brake circuits has failed. The internal
shuttle that moves when there is significantly less pressure on one side
DOES NOT shut off fluid flow to that circuit. If you look at a
disassembled PWDA (or a good schematic diagram) you will note that there
is not enough travel in the shuttle to cut off the circuit toward which
it moves, nor are there any seals to accomplish that function. Even if
it were the case, the PWDA could only cut off fluid flow to either BOTH
front or rear brakes, not just one cylinder (or caliper.)
