================

OK... I've said this before, but it's been a while.

Back in the 60's and 70's, there was a guy in Joisey, Jerry Salny,

for whom I worked. He owned an imported auto parts store curiously

named Imported Auto Parts.... in Morristown NJ. He also manufactured

SU carburettor kits and many of the components. His stuff was better

than the original, very often. He made needles, but because of

potential trade mark infringements, could not stamp them with the

same number Skinners Union used. He sold to Beck, later Beck/Arnley,

Columbia, Vera, BAP, Geon, Nisonger, Moss, you name it. He sold more

kits than the OEs did. His stuff is still around. He may still be

making it. Curto was/is a customer. You'll see kits marked SalCorp

from Moss and others. Great stuff.

ANYWAY, I have the cross references of needles from his numbers to SU

numbers. He only made the stock-for-USA spec needles, so there's not
many.

467 needle is a V3, and came in a carb kit of his labeled SAL-1467 F

or R   fitting HS2 948 engines.

Hope that helps. It should.... you guys were foundering there.
