Here are my rules for roundabouts which I figured out while driving in the
country of England.
"Rules for small villages and roundabouts"
1. Every small village will have at least 2 large roundabouts and one
small roundabout
2. Each roundabout will have an odd number of roads entering it
3. Roads that are directly across aroundabout may not be the same
road.
- The probabiliy that is the same road is 1/N where is the
number of roads entering the roundabout
4. No road in a roundabout is EVER marked.
5. The small roundabout is really just a Tee intersection with a
circle and some arrows painted on the road.
As for navigating in the English countryside, that is entirely another set
of rules. The only constant is that you can get directions out of a village
at the local pub but once you leave you are on your own.
