Sounds like you got a good one ;)

Yes, the seat rails just bolt to the floor.

The steering may be tight because the calipers are not releasing, get  
the calipers freed up before you rip the rack out of the car.  Also,  
grease the front end (steering) very well and it might free up on  
it's own.

Jack stands fit nicely under the 2 frame rails and that's a safe  
place to support the car.

What Weber was on the car?   DCOE or ???

Where are you located?
