Here we go again?

There were two types of LSDs available in Miatas, viscous and Torsen. Early
models had optional viscous LSDs. In 94, the Torsen LSD was an option.
If there is some terminology I am unaware of then maybe it is a
contradiction. But, I assume LSD means "Limited Slip Differential" and
Torsen means "Torque Sensing". I guess LSD can be a stand alone term (noun)
but I think Torsen as more of an adjective. "Torsen LSD" seems proper to
me. "Torsen LSD" is a common term among the Miata crowds. I think you can
have a Torsen transfer case but maybe transfer case and differential are the
same thing? I'm no author and I did get my poorest marks in English,
despite some really good professors.
Again, if I am wrong, enlighten me. A wise man welcomes correction. I'm
not wise yet, but working on it.
Cheers,
Derf
