Okay Spridgeteers...

Question - What happens if the PCV valve on my 1968 1275 gets clogged
up? Crank case pressure? Blowing oil?

Of interest - A guy that runs a sheet metal business here in town had
me take a look at a car for him. Ostensibly it is a 66 Midget. If
original, would that be the 1098 engine? It appears to have a rib
case tranny. Body looks fairly good but I haven't had time to check it
for bondo yet. The rear dog legs sound a bit too solid when you knock
on them compared to my 68. It is painted with only gray primer, the
interior will have to be completely re-done and it has seats from some
other vehicle in it. The manifolds are off of it as are the carbs
(natch!). Carbs have been partly disassembled and look really rough.
Exhaust manifold is broken. It has wires on it and no top (like who
really needs one!). Cracked windscreen, boot lid shows it had a
luggage rack which is now gone and someone covered the emblem holes in
the boot lid. Otherwise, the body is straight with only very minor
dents and very little rust showing through the very old primer.
Internals of the engine, tranny and drive line as well as condition of
the wiring are total unknowns. The guy also just bought a running MGB
so he may be getting ready to sell the Midget. It would make a great
project car for someone. If he decides to sell it I will post some
pics. I told him it wasn't worth more than about $600 and he didn't
flinch. I have no idea what he paid for it. According to the people he
bought it from it spent the majority of its life in Arizona.

I wonder if this car might be worth picking up with an eye toward
fixing it up as a grand prize give away for the 50th Anniversary event
at Lake of the Ozarks? <http://www.Sprite-MidgetClub.org>

I figure Frank could have this car in Concours condition in about 15
minutes.... ;-)

Thanks for your time... And now back to your regularly scheduled No
LBC commentary...

Cheers!!
