This a good application for a Harbor Freight drift.
You can probably find them in a metal box that won't shut properly after
you've opened it once. It'll be labeled "Spigot Removal Grease
Squishing Drift, 1 Set, Professional Grade, Not to Be Used by Italians."

Hi List,

I checked my drill box (not the cobalt bit set) and found I did have a
half
inch bit and using the grease trick and a lump of wood on the drill bit
the
spigot bearining is now out.

I've added a half inch drift to my 'tools I want to buy' list.

Thanks
