The Dream Farm Thicko International shop is plumbed with plastic pipe. I got
a high pressure rubber hose from Fleet Farm that goes from the compressor to
a manifold, where it splits off via plastic to all corners of the shop.

Once again this is not rocket science skip the copper use abs plastic
sprinkler tubing.
My compressor is mounted on the wall just off level enough to have the drain
on the low end with a
two foot piece of nylon tubing with the drain valve on the end (easy to see
when water is in tank)
The main line after the regulator is u shaped over size on the way (to
prevent water from getting to
the main line) up to the line with a drain valve on the bottom again. Never
bothered with a filter
but I don't paint or use tools just air. This is the set up we used in the
Pattern Making shop for
over 30 years! And I've seen set ups like this in many shops over the years.
