Had this same problem many years back when doing brakes on this same car;
can't remember what was done to overcome it.

New F/R wheel cylinders & (sleeved) MC. Castrol LMA fluid. BTW, Sierra
Specialty did an excellent job.

 After the pedal is released, all four brakes 'drag', especially the front,
it takes a number of seconds before the drums can be turned.

Tried adjusting the rod in and out, changing the 'free-pedal' adjustment, as
well as the stops. Ran shoes up and down with the adjusters.

May take a number of 'pumps' before pedal is acceptable. Once pumped up,
the pedal stays solid; not spongy (air).

We either have some pedal or no pedal....but the car can't be driven the way
it is!

Just can't seem to get it right.

Any suggestions???

TIA

Herb
Keep the sticky side down!
