Is everyone here too young to remember what driving conditions were like 40
years ago? When I was dating my wife in a Sprite, the speed limit on the
biggest 4-lane highway in Honolulu was 35 mph (with on-ramps to match)! I
had to go out in the country to drive faster than 50 mph, and that was
flying. People drove a little faster on the Mainland, but not much.
