> Many of the wiring sockets under the dash have internal works held in by
barbs. If a barb fails as you are fussing with the wires, the individual
connectors can pull out just enough that the connection is broken, but not far
enough that you can see that it has pulled out. If you have a loss of power
in odd places after fussing under the dash, check those barbed connectors
first.
And then start checking all the double-barrel sleeve connectors. The
metal insert in them frequently cracks, rendering its ability to carry
the necessary amperage severely compromised and hard to find.
