I'm with you guys on this Pontiac thread! My first car was my dad's '68
Tempest with a 350. Loved that car. I earned it by putting a roof on the
house. Put all my spare time into it in high school. Quite the chick magnet!
I loved doing donuts in the parking lot in the rain. Never forget that car.
Still remember the plate on it....038XBP.

This was the car we owned when we first got married - but with a 327.

Same body as the GOAT. . heavy body. . but too bad it was not the GTO.

My father in law bought it for my wife. Sold my Datsun pickup truck for
college funds . .

The car was simply unbreakable. . nothing ever went wrong with it. . even
with well over 100k on the odometer. It later went to my mother who put on
another 50k miles on the thing.

I bought a V6 Capri with a 5 speed stick (or 4 speed, I don't recall). We
spent the majority of our time in our 1960 Old English White MGA.

But the Pontiac will always hold a place in my heart. Wish we had never
gotten rid of it.

Of course, had it been the GTO. . I hope that I would have had the smarts
to have held on to it.
