You can plug the air holes with a front wheel bearing. it fills the hole
without anything sticking out.
It is up to you if you use Rimflo valves. If
you are after most performance, use them. If you are trying to save $$, use
standard valves.

It turns out that my 12g1316 head has 1.3" inlet valves, which is bigger than
I thought. Is moving to 1.4" intake valves worth the expense for a street
car? There is very little space for them. How about 1.4" Rimflo valves
($$$!)?

The air injection ports are blocked, but each has a fair-sized nipple
or something extending well into the exhaust port in the worst possible
place. Is this normal, or has something been shoved in there by the plug?
