I purchased steel line from Napa.
It bends fairly easily by hand. 
I never removed the line from the tank.  It's cut off about 5 inches
out of the tank.
Then it goes to hose to fuel filter to hose to electric pump to hose and then 
mates to the steel line that goes all the way up to the front.
