These are the two filters I use.

The glass one can be taken apart and cleaned; it'll catch the big stuff.
The little one (VW type) catches everything else and is thrown away
periodically. 
I put the glass one near the fuel tank. The plastic one goes near the carb
where I can see it in the engine bay. .bill in oregon

It appears that the mechanical fuel pump on my BE died.  If I install a
Facet ele. pump can it push or pull through the old pump?  If not is
there a standard plate to cover the hole in the block? Where is the
best place to put the Facet?
