I feel the same way. Frank and the rest of you 8 balls helped me deal with the
loss of Gary and my favorite cousin, who was actually more of a brother than my
real brother has ever been. I have often found myself using Clariciisms, such
as BFH, Horrible Freight, and drive it like you stole it. His untimely loss has
left us with a huge void that will never be filled. I hope that the rest of our
Spridget family will continue to stay together as a legacy to the two great
members that we have lost this year.
I have checked on plane fares, and there is no way I can make the service, but
I promise to be there in spirit. I will be out in the shed working on Madge in
the hope that I can get her running and stopping well enough to make it to
Wisconsin this summer. I hate beer, but I will drink one for Frank while I am
scrubbing and sanding and, with any luck at all, draining whatever mysterious
substance is in the gas tank.

I have been having the most difficult of times keeping myself from crying. I
didn't see Frank often but when I did I was always happy, like all of you he
made us laugh because he had a way of making living fun. I cannot believe
the impact he has had on my life in only 6 short years. I have been sharing
stories with my students the last few days and then while speaking I would
start to cry and have to pull myself together. In some ways frank was like a
brother to me and in some ways he was like a father to me. Between Frank and
this list I have been able to cope with the loss of my dear father. I am
grateful Frank left me in good hands with this beautiful list and all the
beautiful friends I have meet along the way.
