Phil, I tow my 1250# Turner in a 2700# ATC trailer and ALWAYS run 50 lbs. The reasons for 50# have been noted by others. Don't know what you're towing with. But, I have to say, "Watch your speed." My tow vehicle is a BMW X5 diesel & it is far too easy to do 90- mph while towing. NOT good for the trailer tires. I delaminated 2 on my last run to/from Savannah. Stick to 65 to 70 if you can. Saves fuel too. Difference is dramatic with X5d - 12 mpg at 80, 14 mpg at 75, 20 mpg at 50. Norm |
