| If anyone has an alternator for sale cheap, or can recommend and
inexpensive way to do an alternator upgrade to a '71 Midget, please let me
know. This is to help a friend out with charging problems. The odd thing is
that using a meter, the system seems to function properly, yet the brand
new battery dies after a few days driving, and won't charge when it's jump
started. The generator puts out 20v and the V. Reg reads 14v. The car has a
constant running electric fuel pump and cooling fan which makes matters
worse.
Any suggestions welcome.
