Great idea about lowering license plate. I know it works because I
lowered mine. By unsecuring the original mounting bolts, I remounted the
entire license-braket assembly into the area next to my spare tyre
(tire?). This not only improves the cooling, but adjusts the weight
distribution aft.
Worried about the "law", well I just said "thank you officer, it just
fell off this old car a few miles back and I recovered it and put it in
the trunk. I'll re-fasten it as soon as I get home?"
