The comments from various people regarding the Clubs and the internet
strike home with alot of merit.

First, not everone is on the internet, and still rely on the newsletters
for info.

Second, the internet is quick, hours vs. days or months, and is truely
international.

Three, there are alot of contributors, with many decades of support to
the Tigers, who have apprehensions regarding losing the regional nature
or identity of their club.

A national/international club has merit for many reasons.

Cost of operations and volenteers time to do the grunt work, can be
reduced, by bringing a larger group together.

The idea of a clique, can be reduced sigficantly by sharing the work
load with a larger group, instead of those few who pick up the work load
year after year, and are then critisized as running the clubs.

After 18 years as a paid exec for a national trade association, I can
assure you that what is going on with the Tiger groups is not new, but
offers an oppertunity to move into a new growth pattern for the few
Tiger owners/supporters that still exist.

I have personally been involved in seeing the benifits of bringing
together the splinter groups, regional groups, so-called cliques, and
long time enemies in other organizations, and can attest to the ongoing
value of the efforts.

I know that not all of the issues will be resolved overnight, or that
some of the problems of personality conflicts will never go away. But
when faced with the current situation, and the oppertunity to grow and
prosper, the choice becomes much easier to join together into a
national/international club.

There are many more benifits that each of you can add, and problems to
overcome, but the time to move on to the next growth period for the
Tiger owners/supporters offers itself now. The internet is another tool
to make this easier to accomplish.
