Listers,
I have been on the road for a few weeks and i am back in my home office for
2 days ( not that any one cares). I was really looking forward to reviewing
the missed emails from "the list" all 27 of them....and of course taking the
Tiger for a spin.
I have been offered a position based in Orange County (Irvine or orange) and
one the most pressing questions i have is: What about my Canadian Tiger?
Does anyone know what is involved in relocating my car from a customs
perspective. The offer is not to the point where salary and a time line are
set but never-the-less I would like to be prepared in any case.
Next week i will be in Santa Barbara and will drive up the coast with a
co-worker for meetings in San Francisco and the highlite of my trip is that
I plan on visiting Sunbeam Specialties in Los Cabos as we drive by (I hope
to pick up some momentos of my trip-front end stuff). My co-worker is a
gearhead as well so it took very little convincing about how worthwhile the
stop would be.
I found a set of headers locally which I will pickup this week and i am
really excited about making the improvements. Unless of course California
emmisions laws frown on this sort of thing.
I missed out on all of the aluminum head stuff but read it with great
interest and while I currently covet Theo's twisted wedge heads I hope to
obtain my own very soon. By all report it will not be a bolt on though, as
the valve locations are different and the pistons need to be out of the
engine in order to cut the valve reliefs.
Bye for now,

PS: Steve Laifman......Update on the editing: while on the road i made some
more progress on the editing and at this point i am about 40% complete. I
find it relaxing and enjoyable to read through the stuff. I am following the
template you emailed me. i should get a little more done on my next trip
with completion around the end of August.
