Hello Jeff:
Uh, Oh! I'd better check that right away. This pump has a silver metal, not
black plastic, cover and the elecrical wires do not go into that cover, or
near it, but go to the other side of the pump. If that much fuel were getting
in there, wouldn't that soak the contacts and prevent the pump from working
(or I guess blow me up!!!)? On the other hand, no more dripping has
dramatically improved my gas mileage. On this tank of gas I'm over 100 miles
on the odometer and no more than 4-5 gallons down on the guage. Previously,
my max on a full tank(s) was about 160 miles total.
