For a look at what aircraft homebuilders use for oil lines on aircraft
(where a blown hose is a whole different affair), check one of the aircraft
parts vendors such as Wicks aircraft supply (www.wicks.com/aircraft ). The
1999 catalog on my shelf shows military-spec hose of 1/2" diameter with a
burst pressure of 1000 psi and a temperature up to 2500 F for under $4 per
foot, Aeroquip or Stratoflex mil-spec hose (7150 psi/2500F) for about
$6.50/ft, 666 Teflon hose (operating temps up to 450 0F and up to 1500 psi)
w/ 13/32" ID for under $10/ft. They also sell the fittings for these. They
sell firesleeve for keeping heat away from your hoses also for about $7/ft.
Any one of these ought to hold up under a Tiger hood.
