Paul,
I am *very* sorry to hear about your Tiger. As others have already
stated, the most important thing is that you and your son are OK. A
little time will ease the blow, and I hope you'll realize that your
dream to own a tiger need not end here.

Looking at the pictures, the car is far from un-repairable. That
alone would, in my opinion, make it a terrible shame to part it out.
Also, in doing so, you would sacrifice a good bit of money for a
relatively short duration of tiger-ing. Get the car home, strip the
burned interior remnants, and see about media blasting the burned metal
and getting it into some epoxy primer or other protective coating. At
that point you can make a list of required part and start acquiring them
from fellow tiger owners, ebay, CAT, or other vendors. The
satisfaction in doing this outweigh the grief over time, and as David
pointed out, if your son participates in the project in any way, it will
be something you can both reminisce and share for years to come.

For anyone else with the foam aircleaner or the header wrap, my
advice is to ditch them both. Personal experience with the foam
aircleaner left me with a holley rebuild and a carb full of melted goo,
and during my short employment at a hot rod shop I heard too many
stories about wrapped headers soaked with flammable liquid catching
fire. It isn't easy to extinguish either.

Paul, best of luck. Don't part out the car. If you decide to
fix the car yourself, feel free to email me with interior parts you
need. I'll peruse my small assortment of accumulated parts and see if
I can help.

Best regards,
Bob Burruss
