Chris,
I believe you are looking for the K&N replacement, clean able air
filter. The 1 1/2 inch version is an exact
replacement for the original size, but is superior in every way. I use
it, and it is very good.
The Part Number is "K&N E-2859", as reported in Larry Paulick's
article. He also talks of a 2.5 inch version for his custom cold air scoop:
