I think you would just rub the surface rust back and colour match as best as
you can (luckily its on the black part on the MKII sills) touch ups are not
a bad thing.. a complete respray on a car like this would be a shame.. and
if you are going to do that i think you would just restore it, but a few
touch ups still maintain the majority of the patina and its still all
original metal.
