I cant imagine a solution that does not use pins at each corner. The =
length of the pins will allow choice of opening. With pins you could =
also lay a length of hose in the center (about 1.5 or 1.75 dia.) and use =
the pins (adjusted for height) to keep your hood from flying up. The =
hose should keep the hood open enough for additional air flow.

When I've had hood pins on a car, the easiest bumper was a piece of =
1/2 inch ID heater hose.=20
That may not work for your situation but you could potentially use =
fuel line or some other kind of hose.=20
