If you got a friend that you "just can't think of what to get him for
Christmas", I highly recommend "The Last Open Road" by B.S. Levy. Burt Levy
writes for Vintage Motorsport, British Car, and other vintage rags. He was my
wifes driving instructor a few years back.
This novel has been given a big thumbs up by many of the "whos who" in
racing. It's a very accurate portrayal of racing in the early '50s.
