GT6 cylinder head

Fellow 'thusiasts;

I have measured a deck height of 3.395" on my MK3 '72 GT6 head (USA).

Is this correct for a virgin head?

If the stock compr. ratio is 8:1 and I wanted to raise it to ~ 9.25:1 how
much should be taken off the bottom?
