| Subject: | Valve adj=rough engine? |

In my quest for new knowledge, I found out that, indeed, Murphy exists. I tried
to adjust the valves in my '71 TR6 today ( I took the day off, the first
nice day
this year). When I started the car, it was real rough, with some back firing.
What could I have done wrong? This is what I did.
1) Took out all plugs
2) took off valve cover
3) Followed Bentley's manual (I assume front of the engine is at the
grille)
4) put back valve cover
5) put back plugs
6) Started engine
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
