Ross,
I know little about Spit 4 top stowage having never done it myself but
I have read about it ("Don't worry. I've never done brain surgery but
I have read about it"). If you can get a look at John Thomasons'
Spitfire and GT6 book (Guide to Originality or some such) there are 2-3
pages of photos showing how the top is stowed and erected. If you
can't find the book, send me a snail mail address and I will mail you a
copy of these pages.
