Brian,

First, I hope they don't squeak. I didn't lub mine.  If I do I will probably
use some silicone grease that I have.  Vasoline will probably work fine too.

2)  Since you have new gaters you have to take these apart anyway.  Lube them
with wheel bearing grease before you reassemble.

3)  Most hardware stores carry Nylock nuts (in grade 2 hardness).  Otherwise
check the autoparts stores.  BTW I have re-used nylock nuts.  They may not be
AS secure as new ones but they usually work OK.

4) The original rubber bushings have a steel sleeve in the center and the
sleeve will not turn once the bolt is tightened and there will be a permanent
"wind up" on the rubber bushings.  Since the poly bushings do not have a
sleeve you may disreguard that step.

I have just done all of the above but the car is not yet on the road so I
can't comment on how much better it will be.  Good luck.
