This is my first posting after following for a few weeks so Hi to all !!
Its time to rebuild the HS2's on my '73 Spit IV with the new needles and
springs I've got to match the new K+N air filters. Basically I'd like any
general advice on getting these carbs fixed up and tuned as its the first
time I've done it... I'm a student in the UK and well trying to keep the
Spit going on a student grant calls for 'creative' budgeting !! and no
doubt most of my debt - but then when its going its all worth it isn't it
!! Anyway this means doing all the work myself and not being able to
afford flash tools and stuff so help and advice much appreciated.

Also if there are any Brit Spit owners reading who have a decent
condition hood frame please let me know, also a set of reclining with
headrest GT6 or Spit seats. Have GT6 MkIII non headrest, Spit MkIV non
reclining and non headrest - yeh I'm gradually getting to what I want ! -
to swap/sell plus some other bits.

You might be interested to know that theres been a big presence here at
Southampton over the last couple of years of Spits/GT6s/Heralds - helped
each other out with bits and stuff but now they've joined the real world
and are trying to pay off the Trimph related debt !!
